Cook Warms City Up
In horrendous conditions a youthful city team maintained there good start to the season.
On a bitterly cold and damp evening in East Lancashire City continued there impressive start to the season when Jack Cook scored an 85th minute penalty to secure 3 more points.
With the wind howling and the rain pouring both teams tried desperately hard to play football. However neither goal was threatened. A late surge of pressure from the visitors saw full back Brent Wood-Town End tripped inside the box and to the despair of the home side the referee pointed to the spot.
Up stepped City's Captain Cook and he calmly slotted the ball home!
