Injury Time Heartache
City dissappointed to concede an injury time equaliser as Formby snatch a point.
City reserves latest fixture took them to Formby FC for their 3rd successive away game. In an even first half City took the lead when Dan Wilkins headed home from an Alex Meany corner. The hosts responded quickly when some neat play and a good finish ensured the teams went in all square at the break.
The 2nd half was again a fairly even contest however City were gaining momentum and just after the hour mark. Rhys Turner earned his side a penalty when the home keeper impeded him as he was about to slot the ball home. The official pointed to the spot and up stepped Jack Cook to give City the lead once again.
With clock ticking down City looked like they had done enough to secure another away win however a raid down the right flank led to Formby snatching a last gasp equaliser.
