Berzins takes over as Treasurer

Langley Cricket Club announce that Nick Berzins has joined the club committee.

Berzins will take up the role of Club Treasurer with immediate effect replacing Kevin Baggs.
Baggs who spent 20 years as club Treasurer was thanked extensively for his contribution at the clubs recent AGM.

Berzins is no stranger to Langley having represented the club 272 times scoring over 5800 runs over a 28 year period. Berzins will add a wealth of experience to the committee who aim to steer the club through expansive strategic growth over the next few seasons.

Club Chairman Matt Stevens added "I'm delighted to welcome our new Treasurer Nick Berzins onto the LCC committee. Nick has been associated with the club for many years and brings a wealth of vital experience with his banking and finance background. Having given an insight into our future plans Nick was really excited to be joining the team and helping us achieve our development plan aims. I must also pay testament to our outgoing Treasurer Kevin Baggs, who had been in the role for 20 years. Kevin joined with the club in real financial trouble and has overseen a complete transformation of our fortunes both on and off the field. The Treasurers position is one that brings a great deal of trust and responsibility and we could not have wished for a better person to oversee our finances during his time with us. I wish Kevin all the best and thank him for his considerable efforts."
