Signing news

Our first team management have been very busy over the last few weeks and we are delighted to announce that around 90% of the 2016-17 squad have so far re-signed for the coming season. These signings include Tyler Sibbick, who we hope to see a lot more of in the near future, our captain Matt Guy and our other centre-half Ed Dryden, Jamie Lyons (who is heading towards his ELEVENTH season at Plain Ham!), midfielder Josh Egan (for a third consecutive season), keeper Shaun Semmens, fans' favourites Joe Tumelty and Jay Adams, and of course our coach Neil Arndale!

There are also some new faces. We are very pleased to report that the first team management have signed experienced forward Matt Groves, who was at Mangotsfield United last season. The first team also have a new midfielder - Matt Britton, from Cadbury Heath - lined up, as well as full back Mason Winter and striker George King, both of whom were at Cribbs FC last season. They should all prove to be valuable additions to the squad.

We are also pleased to learn that we will have a new first team physio for the upcoming season. Kieran Moden joins us from Mangotsfield: he has a degree in Sports Rehabilitation and FA qualifications in Intermediate Trauma and Medical Management in Football. Welcome to Plain Ham!

We are sorry to say goodbye to Joe Raynes, who is departing after two years and many appearances at Plain Ham to play for Frome Town next season. We wish Joe well and hope that the move works out for him. Ben Brooks is also on the move: Ben was the Larks' second top scorer in the 2016-17 season and he and his family will be missed at Plain Ham. Thanks to both of them for their contributions over the last couple of seasons.

Keep an eye out for further squad news!

Up the Larks!
