Somerset Derby

The Larks face neighbours and Southern League Premier rivals Frome Town in the league cup tomorrow evening (Weds 22nd), ko 7.45.

The last time we played Frome was in the 2nd qualifying round of the FA Cup two years ago when we were still in the Western League: the initial tie was a 0-0 draw but Frome beat the Larks 4-0 in the replay. Echoes of Gosport here!

This is of course the first time the Larks have played in the Red Insure Cup and we are hoping for a proper upset this time. The Larks' chairman Paul Rankin has observed that he scored his last goal as player manager for the Larks against Frome Town!
