It was very much a game of two halves at Plain Ham as the home side threw away a 2-0 lead to gift Slimbridge a point.
Larkhall got out of the traps very early on as George King received a Matt Groves pass and turned in the box to fire past Marcus Beauchamp in the Swans goal after only 6 minutes. Midfielder Joe Tumelty doubled the Larks' lead only moments later when he latched onto a cross from King to see the ball trickle into the net with Beauchamp stranded. Groves and Alex Lambert then both had good chances to put the Larks out of sight before Slimbridge worked their way back into the game when Joe Stokes looped the ball over the home goal from some 30 yards out.
The visitors must have had some hair-drier action during the break and tore at the Larks on the restart. Home keeper Shaun Semmens made a superb full stretch save to deny Marley Thomas but the ball wasn't fully cleared and the same player struck home seconds later. Thomas was to get his brace quickly afterwards. The remainder of the game was pretty even with Larks' sub Matt Britton getting closest to scoring a winner for the home side whilst for our opponents Thomas was unlucky not to get a hat-trick.
