S2 Match Report image

A Good day for the S2

An Excellent Dayfor the S2 on Sunday they played 2 games (should have been 3) we got 1 one and 1 loss but great performances.

Game 1 Forrester
Team
1Cam MacFeate
2Max Malone
3Harry Noble
4Harry Smith
5Lewis Anderson
8Chris Kay
9Cam Cummings
10Sean Clapperton
11Kelt Galloway
12Grant Innes
13Duncan Pennycook
14Adam
15Luke Gillard

A good game with the boys trying hard in attack and defence, the forwards had some good runs which let the backs get some open running done into the back line of Forrester. In defence all players got stuck in with the tackling being led by Man of the Match Chris Kay who put in some massive tackles leadinbg to some great turnovers. Also some great Tackiling on the wing from Lasswade RFC newby Kelt.

The players didn't let the heads go down at any point even when the opposition got a couple of well worked scores. After the game the boys all had positives and talked about what could have been improved/worked on rather than starting a slagging/moaning match. A Massive change from the beginning of the season.

Game 2 Royal High
Team
1Cam MacFeate
2Max Malone
3Ryan Collins
4Harry Smith
5Joe Curtis
8Chris Kay
9Cam Cummings
10Sean Clapperton
11Duncan Pennycook
12Grant Innes
13Harry Noble
14Adam
15Luke Gillard

Another excellent game with all the boys trying hard from kick off with some great attck and some THINKING RUGBY. The Forwards made it easy for the backs by giving them a great platform with some excellent Scrummaging from Props Cam MacFeate and another Lasswade newby Ryan Collins. Chris and Harry Smith led the way with some excellent tackles and rucking.

The Backs with addition of Harry Noble at Centre ran hard at the Royal High backline quite often making inroads into their half and on many occasions just let down by the last pass.

Good link work came together to get the Lasswade Try in this game taken well by Harry Noble with support from both backs and forwards lining up to get the score.

Some Great Thinking Rugby and some great Tackles led to all the coaches nominating Luke Gillard as Man of the Match (keep up the good work)

Overall a very positive day by all the boys, Things to work on but all things that can be sorted with some training.

Special mentions to Max Malone and Cam Macfeate, who both gave their all throughout the day Max leading well as Captain and Cam Mac not stopping running at any point during both games excellent work by all players well done

A Game this week against Lismore Details at Training on Wednesday and by Text.
