Presentations and speaches

Launceston Rugby Club held their annual dinner-dance at Eagle House in Launceston on Friday 18th of May, which was attended by players from all the senior teams.
Mat Jess who played for Launceston in 2008 era before moving to Exeter and now Newton Abbot was the guest speaker. He urged players, especially the younger ones, to aspire to higher levels and aim for a place in the top teams, both local and national. His suggestion for pre-game warm up was met with supprise and amusement.
Jimmy Tucker, who is dropping out of coaching this year, thanked all at the club for their support over the past couple of years.
The club awards to players and volunteers as follows
Player on & off the field - Mark Williams
Young forward - Torin Clarke
Young back - Tom Sandercock
Most improved player - Mark Williams
Player of the year - Ryan Westren
Supporters player of the year - Lloyd Duke
Players player of the year - Lloyd Duke
Coaches player of the year - Lloyd Duke
Endeavour award - John Tharme
Clubman of the year - Crispin Earle
For the 2nds
Most improved player - Ed Duddon
Players and coaches player of the year - Harry Lightfoot
For the Colts
Players player - Aiden Jacob
Coaches player - Piran Gallington
Most improved player - Cian Baker
Flowers were presented to Di Tharme for her work feeding the teams through the season and Carol Stansfield for her physio work to all teams where required.

Thanks to Bill and Becky Perry, mine hosts at Eagle House, for a good meals and all enjoyed themselves.
I hope I have got the names and details right, and good luck for next season.
