On the attack
The week before last saw a lot of focus on defence, and then put it into practice in Bude. So this week, it was time for a bit of attention on the attack. We’re not short of pace, and the whole team have upped their game on taking on a defensive opposition, but running in straight lines and knowing when to pass was the aim of the day. Once again, the U9’s took it all on board and showed the parents what they could do, and it came together on match day.
It’s fair to say it took the first ten minutes to warm up and shake the remains of last nights snuggly dreams out of our heads, but after that we were off. When attacking, the U9’s found plenty of opportunities to see what happens when you move a ball into space and your teammates run onto the ball. It resulted in just about every player rampaging up the pitch at some point.
The atmosphere in the clubhouse afterwards told us the had been a good day and that we have team who know how to work well together and support each other.?
