Apologies for the non-appearance of last week's email copy of In-touch. Unfortunately, the administrators of the RFU system which holds our database and sends our emails, adjusted their contact parameters without any consultation with clubs. This prevented us sending emails. I have been in contact with them and I am trying to get things sorted out for thos week. If you get this by email I will have succeeded.

As reported on the website last week, I am sad to have to report the death of club stalwart Brian Griffin who died suddenly on Friday at the age of 88. He would have been 89 this week. Funeral details are not yet known but they will be posted when available.

It was high scoring game at Berkswell and Balsall on Saturday when we were just on the wrong end of an 11 try thriller and lost 44-33. Although we picked up one bonus point it could have been two but for a late penalty to B&B. Elsewhere, results did not run for us with Barkers Butts beating Malvern and Nuneaton Old Eds scoring a surprise win at Southam. The biggest shock of the day was Rugby Lions losing for a second week in a row, going down 34-8 to Spartans. The Seconds lost 24-10 at Old Laurentians and the Spartans came out ahead by 31-5 against the same opponents, with speedy winger Pierre M’Baga scoring a hat-trick.
The Spartans are the only team playing this week and they are away at AEI Rugby so no home games on Saturday. The bar will be open all day and yjre Six nations will be on the TV. On Sunday the under-14 are playing Old Leamingtonians and the other teams are training
