Royals Under 13's Off with a Bang!
Royals take on Bears at the Butts Park Arena.
The Leamington Royals Under 13's became the towns first ever junior Rugby League team on Saturday when they took on the Coventry Bears Under 13's at the Butts Park Arena. The 3000 seater stadium was the perfect venue for the Royals debut game. The team was made up of Arham Zubair (NLS),Reece Brierley-Smith (Campion), Karan Manhas, Callum Muldoon and Captain Josh Proctor (All Aylesford School.
Royals hooker Geroge Smith was away while Aaron Warnes was also absent recovering from injury.
Modelling their new kit courtesy of Team Sponsor GARDENER C.N.C. (http://www.gardner-cnc.co.uk/base.html) the Royals looked the part and they did their talking on the field.
Royals coaches Ash Howelett and Ryan Oliver were very impressed with their side. Oliver had this to say "Considering how good Coventry Bears are the Royals were fantastic. Arham and Reece ran hard while Josh and Karan tackled their hearts out, Callum also stood up to the occasion.
Oliver and Howlett are looking forward to team’s future which promises to be a successful one.
