Icy Weather ends in Icy bath for the U14 Players
Ledbury U14 squad take a short trip to Hartpury Sports Academy for some expert coaching and a little pampering!
Many thanks to Harry and Craig of the Sports Academy for looking after us on a cold, icy and foggy day. Indeed the day didn't start well as the road from Ledbury to the motorway was closed for a short time making the journey longer for some!
A good number of parents travelled as well as 28 of the squad - great turnout for such an awful day. The lads were taken into the sports hall as all the outdoor surfaces were still snow covered and put through a number of drills and games.
Then followed a short workout in the sizeable gym, illustrating to players and coaches alike how much work needs to be done in this area!
Finally, a treat for all (but mainly the parents) ... an ice bath to professionally warm down those tired out bodies. (Actually water temperature was at least 2C).
Great fun and something different! Well timed as all other rugby was off due to the weather!
