About Us

Leeds Mens Lacrosse team was founded in 2007 by a small group of Leeds University alumni.

Our goal was to provide a men’s club team open to all players of all levels of ability, and to continue to increase awareness of the sport that we love within the West Yorkshire region. We are extremely proud of the success that we have had in both these goals, and our club continues to prosper.

Our team consists of a wide range of players with varying levels of experience, skill, and fitness, but all with a similar attitude to our lacrosse – having fun on the pitch. We have a strong core of players, including students and ex-students from the Leeds universities, players who have returned to Yorkshire having started playing at other universities, as well as experienced players who live close by who have tired of commuting to Manchester every week for matches and training.

Leeds Men's Lacrosse Club continues to grow in numbers year on year and maintains its open door policy to any player regardless of experience or standard. We have excellent ties with our sister club, Leeds Penguins, with whom we share support, training, development ideas and social events.

We play in the Northern England Men’s Lacrosse Association (NEMLA) leagues on Saturdays, and train on Monday nights at Adel War Memorial Association Sports Club.
