Cup run continues

Leeds comfortably overcame Oldham in the latest group match.

Leeds beat Oldham in the latest Lancs Cup match at Adel last Saturday. The late arrival without shirts did the visitors no favours, & Leeds opened the first period 3-1 ahead. An Oldham rally in the 2nd saw them draw level, with some scrappy play & poor decision making from the Leeds team making life difficult. The third period saw a great return to the normal tight ground ball & free-flowing attack, Leeds scoring 6 unanswered goals. The final quarter was 4-1 to leeds for a comfortable 16-4 overall scoreline.

Top scorer Rich Foulds was MOM, with Alex scoring 4 & Si Bick & Goose 2 apiece. Goon had to be Nick, for 2 assists for Oldham whilst clearing.
Hollywood moment provided by Chris Armstrong, who nailed the top corner from a sitting position having been clotheslined by an Oldham defender who then did'nt know why he was sent off!
Thanks to Ian for reffing, Liam for doing the bench for the first period, & to Kev for the fizz now we have qualified for the semi's. Great training on Monday, let's keep this run going at Hull at the weekend!
