The countdown to season 2012 begins.....
Brace yourselves for some extremely exciting announcements regarding playing structures for all of the Akkies teams in 2012.
With the entire sport set to make the move to summer rugby, 2012 will be a seminal year for rugby league and there are some exciting developments in store for the Akkies.
The Akkies mens teams will be part of a brand new division as part of the summer shake-up with details to be announced shortly. In addition fixture programs for the masters and women's teams will all be unveiled, along with a typically packed social calendar.
Akkies effervescent secretary Ade Tallon commented: "we're bound to secrecy over the exact make-up of the divisions but, having seen the draft proposals, I'm confident all our players will be excited about what's in store."
The diminutive Irishman added: "This will be our club's 10th competitive season and the new structures that are being introduced will hopefully help 2012 become a vintage year fir the Akkies."
