Postponed Pending Appeal

The BARLA Yorkshire Cup Final scheduled to be played at the John Charles South Leeds Stadium, the home of Hunslet Hawks RLFC on Sunday 28th December between Drighlington and Fryston Warriors has been postponed, until a date in January 2015, when Drighlington could be playing pending an appeal Fryston Warriors, Queens or Upton.

This is as a result of the BARLA Disciplinary Committee deciding that Fryston Warriors forfeit the game for playing a suspended player in their semi final against Sharslton Rovers, who in the same match also played a suspended player and have also had the game forfeited.

Queens will now play Upton in a provisional elimination semi final after those clubs had been defeated in the quarter finals of the competition by Sharlston Rovers and Fryston Warriors respectively.

The game will replace the BARLA Yorkshire Cup Final and will be played at Hunslet Hawks South Leeds Stadium on Sunday 28th December following the BARLA Under 18 Yorkshire Cup Final between Castleford Lock Lane and West Hull.

BARLA will not be making any further comment at this stage which may prejudice any subsequent appeal and a new date for the final will be announced in the near future.
