Thanks from the mum of Darren Degraff to Yorkshire County and Stanningley ARL staff.

Subject: Injury to my son During the Cumbria Under 19's v Yorkshire Under 19's

Dear All,

Last Sunday during the Cumbria v Yorkshire under 19’s game, my son Darren Degraff got injured in a tackle which resulted in him being taken to hospital with a suspected neck injury.

Darren spent 5 hours in a neck brace and on a spinal board and after various x rays and tests it was found that he had suffered a soft tissue injury and there was no permanent damage and we were allowed to come home back to Cumbria.

From the bottom of my heart, I would like sincerely thank the Yorkshire physio, (I didn't get her name but she was amazing) and all the other Yorkshire & Cumbria officials who attended to Darren whilst he was still on the field, also to the Ladies of Stanningley ARLFC who made sure my daughter and myself were ok whilst we were waiting for the ambulance a massive thank you to you too.

I would also like to thank the Yorkshire & Cumbria Management committees for the care and kind words to my husband and myself following the incident with Darren, Your care and attention was second to none.

Thank you to each and every one of you, you all showed that the spirit of the rugby league family is very much alive in Cumbria and Yorkshire.

Yours sincerely,

Lorraine Degraff
