Round 3 saw the Minotaurs travel to Wolverhampton to play the Wolverines. After a dramatic start to the day with our mini bus catastrophe, the Leeds boys turned up late to Willenhall rugby club with only 9 players for the second game in a row.

Coming off a bye in Round 2 showed in the opening quarter as the Leeds boys got off to a sluggish start. The task was made worse when gun full forward Dave Scarsella went down injured within the first few minutes. The Leeds boys finally got their attitude right and put in a greater effort in the 2nd quarter to close the margin at half time.
With a few of the Leeds boys struggling with niggling injuries, the Wolverhampton side wasted little time in dominating the rest of the game. The young wolverine’s side ran the ball out of defence numerous times to set up an abundance of goal scoring oppurtunities. Some inaccurate kicking from the home side flattered the final margin.

Next week we are playing Birmingham and Manchester in Manchester and need everyone available.

Final Scores:
Wolverhampton Wolverines 14.20.104
Leeds Minotaurs 9.12.66

Goals: Scarsella 6, Kirkpatrick 2, Scott.
Best: Kirkpatrick, Scott, Warran, Campbell & Hinchliffe.
