Nick Chawner reveals his new assistant manger after Andy Beechey steps down

Beechey told his squad last week that he was stepping down as joint manager, Nick Chawner wasted no time in promoting Phil Bruce to his staff.
Chawner commented;

"Phil Bruce has agreed to join the reserves management team. Initially Phil will be involved until the end of the season on match days then will take up the position of assistant manager next season.

Phil has always been in my thoughts as someone who could make a difference to the reserves.His approach is extremely professional and his credentials are second to none. I believe he is a big asset to the club, he makes a living out of coaching both in football and fitness and its the latter that Phil will work on pre-season".

Phil now joins up with Dave Wattley and Andy Walters to complete an excellent coaching team who are all well qualified to develop existing players and the young lads signing on next season.

Adding

"This appointment will in no way alter Phil`s position and work with the Ladies team, he is very proud of whats been achieved there and will continue to develop the squad".
