Former West Brom and Welsh international Krzywicki returned to Leek Csob as guest of honour to witness the clubs first ever game at home, Pointon Park.
DK aged 16 was scouted by a local Baggies scout known as Lou whilst playing for the Old Boys along side Stan Lockett and Tony Lacey.
In 1970 DK scored against England at Ninian Park in front of 40,000 fanatic welsh fans, Gordon Banks was the english keeper but the welsh were stunned into silence when Francis Lee equalised.
On his return to the club Krzywicki was greeted by many familiar faces and many stories told and memories returned, catching up with the likes of Stan Lockett and Tony Lacey, one massive surprise for DK was when a spectator handed him a photograph of a very young Blackshaw Moor Football Team with Krzywicki in it along with many familiar faces, attached was a sheet of paper with the names of the players, Krzywicki was then introduced to the players in the dressing room before kick off and was given a lovely reception, at half time DK was given some good old fashion Csob hospitality in a spare dressing room and more stories were swapped as everyone listened and laughed.
Krzywicki was delighted with the 3-0 scoreline and said he was slightly surprised at the quality of the football, saying "they are trying to play football, i like to see that, passing it about makes the opposition work hard".
After the game Krzywicki was whisked off to the Black Lion in Cheddleton for after game refreshments and a chance to meet the players more informally, he produced three international shirts and his international caps plus two league winner medals.
Krzywicki was then presented with a card from reserves manager Nick Chawner with a message from his former club inside, emotional Krzywicki said "ive had plenty of telegrams and messages in my time but this is so special, its the icing on the cake from a wonderful day, ive really enjoyed my visit and will be back, meeting such lovely people some which i remember and some who i hope get the same chance in life as ive had, it all started for me here and i`ll never forget that, i wish the club all the best for the future, its in good hands with superb facilities, thank you for a day i will never forget"
