"It was important that it was somebody the lads would respect and someone who would fit in with the current set up" Manager Dan Hyde

Leek CSOB FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Martin Baker as first-team coach. Baker (aged 32) will come in to work alongside the management team of Dan & Andy Hyde.

Manager Daniel Hyde said "I am delighted that Marv has agreed to come in and i think it is a great signing for the club. He is someone I identified at the start of the season and at the time he could not commit and felt he needed a bit of time away from football. We always said we would work together and i am glad that it is now happening at Leek CSOB. I felt we needed to bring in another good coach which would then free up some more time for me and Andy to watch and speak to players. We have a good team of people off the field and Dave (Twizzer) Whatley from the reserves has been a great help over the last few weeks since Lee Mycock has been unavailable. I am always looking at ways to improve things both on and off the field and will always put Leek CSOB first. After briefly discussing things with Andy it was important that we got in the right person. It had to be someone we could both work and get on with. It was important that it was somebody the lads would respect and someone who would fit in with the current set up. Marv was the ideal person and someone who thinks and works the same way as myself."
