U15s - Concentration is Vital As Leek Switch Off

Credit to Newcastle who deserved to win and played good football, the Old Boys need to concentrate for the full match at this standard of football

Old boys travelled to take on title chasing Newcastle Town on Saturday morning, the game started very even with both teams playing attractive football, Newcastle took the lead on 20 minutes when the striker bundled in a free kick. Old Boys replied almost immediately when Josh Mack was brought down in the penalty area. Dom Grindey stepped up and the keeper saved to his left but Dom was there to tap in the rebound to the bottom left. The game remained 1-1 at half time with nothing to split the teams.
Newcastle came out with more determination in the second half and took the lead on 50 minutes when a long ball caught the keeper out and Callum Shaw got in to score into an open net. The score remained the same until 10 minutes to the end when Newcastle took full control and scored 3 goals in 10 minutes to easily secure the points. Credit to Newcastle who deserved to win and played very good football the Old Boys need to concentrate for the full match at this standard of football.
