Hilton Harriers 1-10 Leek CSOB

CSOB travelled to take on Hilton Harriers in their fourth pre-season game at the Etwall Leisure Centre.

The game started a frantic pace as CSOB looked to adjust to the 3G playing surface.

It was a pretty even opening twenty minutes but CSOB started to get on top and made good use of the ball as they enjoyed spells of possession.

The opening goal came when a brilliant through ball by the returning Mark Fox (pictured) found the run of Kieran Wain and the young striker made no mistake with the finish.

Just as CSOB were starting to get on top, a slip in defence by Drew Bennett allowed the striker to nip in and play the ball past Bruce for the equaliser.

The CSOB players didn't let this affect them and they were back in front on the half hour mark when a superb Mark Fox free-kick flew past the stranded keeper.

Fox had the chance for his second just before half time but his spot-kick was saved by the keeper who had guessed the right way.

The second half was all one way traffic as CSOB went on attack after attack and managed to score another eight goals.

Kieran Wain finished brilliantly for his second as he scooped the ball over the onrushing keeper.

Fellow strikers Mitch Cartlidge and Zak Barker also finished with a double each. There were also brilliant goals from Mitch Shenton, Kie Scotland and Matty Anderson to complete the rout.

The Old Boys travel to take on Sandbach Curshaws on Tuesday night at the Sandbach Community Centre, Hind Heath Road, Sandbach, CW11 3LZ. 7pm kick off
