Since I signed for Leek CSOB I feel I've improved as a player both in skill and confidence.

Since moving to Leek I feel I've improved as a player both in skill and also confidence which will only help me as a player moving forward.

This week we sat down with CSOB player Jess Stirley and found out how she's settled in since joining the ladies back in July.

Firstly Jess before you signed for Leek who had you played for previously?

I've only ever played for one club prior to joining Leek which was St.Ives Rangers U8's after that I gave up.

What made you sign for Leek in the summer?

I signed for Leek for a number of reasons I came down to my first training session at the end of June and everyone was just so welcoming and it's a really friendly club which made my decision to sign a lot easier.

How have you found it since moving too CSOB?

Since moving to Leek I feel I've improved as a player both in skill and also confidence which will only help me as a player moving forward.

What are your hopes for the remainder of the season and moving forward beyond this season?

I think the hopes for this season are two get a few more wins under our belt in order to push us up the table. I think the most important one is to enjoy the season and I'm sure the results will start to come.

Jess what's you best footballing moment?

I think my best footballing moment has to be scoring my first goal for Leek in the game against Whitchurch to equalise and then go on to win the game back in October.

Finally Jess what strives you to improve every time you step on to the field and wear the famous red and white shirt?

I think to be honest it gives me more to offer and help the team out. This comes back to my previous comment where we as a team are looking to get more wins under our belts and push ourselves up the table and I believe everyone in the team has a massive part to play.

Leek CSOB Ladies play The New Saints (TNS) on Sunday at Pointons park 2pm KO.
