Leek Town U9’s travelled to Knypersley where Biddulph Valley Rangers were hosts. On a tight pitch Leek worked hard without creating any chances on goal with Biddulph looking more threatening going forward and the pressure paid off with Biddulph taking the lead with a fierce shot giving Cumberbatch no chance in goal. Leek were trying hard to get back into the game with Harry Poole, Louis Konstantino and Liam Perkins putting plenty of effort and saw Leek getting back into the game with an equaliser from Harry Bond. Biddulph continued to look dangerous going forward but Leek can thank Jacob Cumberbatch for producing excellent goalkeeping in which one was a superb reaction save.

Second half continued with Biddulph looking the more likely side to score and it came to no surprise when they increased their lead. Leek never gave up and managed to draw level with Harry Bond taking his chance well with the ball going into the top left hand corner giving Biddulph goalkeeper no chance. With Leek back into the game it was looking good for our first points of the season but not for the first time this season the Leek defence got caught out allowing Biddulph to go back into the lead. Biddulph then added to their total to seal the points. In the dying stages of the game Leek were denied a penalty with Callum Mycock’s shot on target and a clear handball which the referee failed to give.
