and Kyle Meharg
, who drove Leek forward creating chances for the dangerous trio of Tom and Brad Grindy
and Jacob Goldstraw
After a couple of corners were scrambled away, Sam Bateman
fired a free kick under the cross bar but the Keeper, who is in Manchester United's academy made a great save. The Kidsgrove goalie could then do nothing when fron a similar position Jacob Goldstraw
struck a great free kick into the top corner.
This seemed to snap Kidsgrove into action but some great defending kept them at bay until Kidsgrove seased on a loose pace and hit an early shot across the stranded Spike McDonald
in Leek's goal.
With Kidsgrove kicking down the slope second half, Charlie Paton
, Sam Bateman
and Ollie Patterson were given the job of holding a very good Kidsgrove side at bay.

was causing the Kidsgrove defense problems with his strength, Hugh Phillips Bland was starting to dominate the midfield with Kyle Meharg
, but the equaliser just would not come. Kidsgove always looked dangerous on the attack but the back three of Charlie Paton
, Sam Bateman
and Ollie Patterson kept them out.
In a great game Leek lost the game but matched a very good team, who boast up to 5 academy players in there team in an outstanding effort.
