Runners up in the league by only 3 points and winners of the Leek Cup last week ,this win capped a great season for the Predators and proved to be their most successful season to date.

A tight first ten minutes of the game was had until Tunstall broke the deadlock with a well worked goal . This seemed to lift the Predators and were soon level with a great goal from top scorer Joe Ireland.

Leek controlled the first half but then had a scare as Tunstall snatched another goal ,against the run of play with a deflected cross coming off big centre half Jack Bowyer . Again , Leek raised their game again and scored right on half time through man of the match Calum Heath ,who was outstanding throughout the game.

3 changes were made at half time with midfield playmaker Tate Walker coming back from illness . The Predators pressed and pressed but to no avail , with Tunstall occasionally looking dangerous on the break.
The full time whistle blew , so extra time was now the case , but the game was still favouring Leek , with their fantastic energy and stamina. The first half remained level ,so it was in the dying minutes of extra time when Leek scored again with a great passing move , ending with Matt Whitehouse smashing the ball into the back of the net . Tunstalls heads then dropped , but before they could think about snatching an equaliser , Leek passed once again through their defence to find Tate Walker , who again found the net with a clinical strike.

The final whistle blew , to the delight of all the players and supporters of Leek , and Leek were at last Area Cup Winners.
