'74 began well with plenty of possession but it was Town who nearly opened the scoring when Dan Trickett-Smith saw his shot scrambled away by the visiting keeper.
In the 15th minute Blues did go ahead with an excellent finish from Charlie Walford (pictured, above). Two minutes later Dominic Smith slotted home the second.
Tyler Blake had a great chance to make it 3-0 but his close range shot hit the inside of the post and bounced back out across the goal.
'74 kept playing their football and saw a shot deflected by a Leek boot onto the crossbar before pulling a goal back through Matt Woolley on the stroke of half-time.
Neil Baker made a number of substitutions at half-time and replacement keeper Danny Roberts made a couple of good saves to keep Blues ahead shortly before they extended their lead.
Tyler Blake tapped in to make it 3-1 on 61 minutes and that goal seemed to open the floodgates with Rob Stevenson scoring the fourth six minutes later.
It took just two minutes before it became 5-1 with an exquisite chip from Dan Trickett-Smith and Stevenson rounded off the scoring in the 80th minute with his second.
The result was tough on the Cheshire side, but it was a clinical display from Baker's side and he was unsurprisingly pleased with the progress his side showed.
