It will be exactly four weeks since Leek last played a league fixture - that was the 4-0 home win over Prescot Cables on Saturday 6th October.
Since then Neil Baker's side have become embroiled in four FA trophy ties plus a game in the Integro League Cup.
As a result Blues have dropped to 9th place in the league table, eight points behind Linnets who have played four games more.
The match starts a run of three successive Saturday games where Town will play the current top three with matches against Atherton Collieries (H) and Colne (A) to follow.
Runcorn are unbeaten in four home games this season in the league winning three and drawing one whilst Blues are unbeaten in their three away games (two wins and a draw).
Co-incidentally Runcorn's last league game was also against Prescot Cables, where they went down 2-1 a fortnight ago having been reduced to nine men meaning that Linnets Freddie Potter and Mike Simpson will both be suspended for the game.
Meanwhile Neil Baker (pictured) has to decide whether to make changes following his sides disappointing FA Trophy exit and a failure to score in either of the games against Stamford.
Tim Grice could be considered for a starting role having been eased back into action after injury with two substitute appearances this week, but Dan Trickett-Smith still remains side-lined.
We will have updates from Millbank Linnets Stadium via our Twitter account with a full round-up of the action here over the weekend.
