BLUES CHASING LEAGUE POINTS

Blues are finally back in league action tonight when Chasetown are the visitors to Harrison Park.

It's five weeks to the day since Lee Casswell's side last played a league fixture which was the 1-1 draw at Belper Town.

Since then, Leek have alternated between the FA Cup and FA Trophy with plenty of success until Saturday's defeat to Altrincham.

That has resulted in Town sliding into the bottom three in the table, having played the fewest number of league games of any side.

Tonight's visitors Chasetown are currently lying in 7th place but are only four points ahead of Blues with two games more played.

The Scholars recent form has been patchy with only one win in the last five outings, although that was an impressive FA Trophy victory over St Neots Town.

On Saturday they went down to a 3-2 defeat at Hucknall Town to leave them with a record of two wins and two defeats from their four away league games.

Leek are waiting on international clearance to see whether Michael Thomas is eligible to play, but one man definitely out is Dan Shelley who was injured on Saturday.

Full coverage of the game will be available on Twitter this evening.
