Town have lost all three of their games on the artificial surface over the last two seasons stretching back to last season’s fixture with the Roms where they suffered a 4-0 drubbing.
This season Ant Danylyk’s men have lost at both Basford and Bedworth on 3G pitches despite the opposition being reduced to ten men before half-time on both occasions.
The match at Bedworth was the last time Leek conceded having kept clean sheets in both outings since at Northwich Victoria and a goalless draw and in last week’s 1-0 victory at Carlton Town.
Romulus are currently 13th in the table with 40 points from 30 games played.
The 3G pitch doesn’t appear to have provided a distinct advantage over the course of the season as their home record is a mixed bag of six wins, four draws and five defeats.
However they are unbeaten in their last four home games which have included a win and a draw against play-off hopefuls AFC Rushden & Diamonds and Basford United.
Roms last two games on the road and they were beaten 4-0 at Spalding and 1-0 at Stocksbridge.
The two sides drew 2-2 back in October at Harrison Park when the visitors snatched a point with a late goal.
