Lee Casswell has told his players they will need to be switched on when they host Boston United tomorrow reports The Sentinel.

He issued the warning after the disappointment of last season's exit from the FA Trophy at the hands of Hungerford Town.

Blues had beaten Altrincham and Brackley, two teams playing at a higher level than Blues on their way to a meeting with Hungerford in the second round at Harrison Park, but ended up losing 1-0.

"We can't afford to start slowly against Boston or it will quickly be game over," said the manager, below.

"It's nice we have home advantage, but we are still going to have to scrap to get a result. Nine times out of 10, Boston would win this fixture. We just have to hope this will be our time.

"We let ourselves down a little last season when we went out of the Trophy to Hungerford. We were not on top of our game and paid for it."

Leek have no serious injury problems ahead of the tie, but Casswell reports one or two players are carrying knocks, but nothing serious enough to rule them out of contention.

Goalkeeper Ben Chapman is available again after a hip injury which leaves Casswell with the problem of who to select.

Ryan Price was brought in on loan from Chasetown and played in the 5-1 defeat at Mickleover last weekend and the 3-1 victory over Kidsgrove on Wednesday night, with striker Liam Shotton on target twice..

"It gives me a problem, but a nice problem to have. Ryan hasn't really done anything wrong since he came in, but I'll make that decision on Saturday."

The Pilgrims arrive sitting eighth in the Conference North table with five wins and three draws from their 12 league games.
