CASSWELL DELIGHTED WITH AWAY DAYS

Following the 1-0 victory at Rainworth, Lee Casswell was delighted with picking up three away wins at a week.

Blues have now won their last five league games without conceding a goal and as a result have climbed to third place in their quest for promotion.

Tim Grice moved to the top of Blues’ goal-scoring charts with his first half winner and now has 26 strikes to his name this season.

Flying winger Tyler Williams made an impressive debut following his transfer from Goole and was a real threat to the home defence – he looks a good signing with his quick feet and probing runs.

But most praise is due to Sam Hall who played a superb captains role in midfield spraying the ball all over the pitch as he led the team to victory.

After the game Casswell said, “We said earlier in the month that we wanted to win at Carlton, Norton and Rainworth and we achieved that goal.

“We looked a good side and played some good football but we didn’t make the game safe although I couldn’t see them scoring.

“Our skipper Sam Hall was immense – he turned in a quality midfield performance hitting passes all over the park - he looks the best midfielder in the league on that showing.

“Sean Kinsella has had to be patient waiting on the bench to get his chance and he took it with both hands with a good performance and the assist with Grice’s goal.

“I was also pleased with the performance of Tyler Williams who gave us more options in the side causing problems for Rainworth throughout the game and that’s the reason we brought him to the club.

“Now we move on to Sheffield on Tuesday looking for another three points against a more difficult side” he added.
