CULLERTON: 'WE WERE WORTH AT LEAST A POINT'

Blues turned in an improved performance but suffered back-to-back defeats when they last at Sheffield by a narrow margin on Saturday.

After the game Leek coach Jamie Cullerton (pictured) commented, “We were very disappointed with the result especially after starting so brightly and dominating during the first 25 minutes before taking the lead. We created 4 or 5 great chances and were worth at least a point if not three.

“However, we let them back into the game with some sloppy defending and in the second half we didn’t work the keeper any where near as much as we should have done.

“The two lads on loan did well on their debuts but we lost Aaron Carter shortly after the break as the injury list lengthened and now the gaffer will be looking to add to the squad even further during the coming week.
