Bliues manager Ant Danylyk was unhappy with both the result and the performance against Bedworth on Saturday.

After the game he commented, “I was really disappointed with the result after conceding right at the death.

“Following Tuesday’s defeat at Rugby a number of players looked tired so I livened things up by making changes for the Bedworth game put it didn’t really work for us.

“We missed Chris Budrys - the lads didn’t play well and lacked energy so I think we were lucky to get a point out of the game,” he added

Looking ahead to Tuesday's Intefro Cup tie against Hednesford Town Danylyk could use the game to give some of his squad members vital match time ahead of the big game against table-topping Shaw Lane at the Sports Club on Saturday.

Sam Grimshaw, Ricky Bridge, Toby Mullarkey and Ben Chapman could all be line for a starting place along with Chris Budrys who was suspended for the Bedworth game.

The game will played to a conclusion on the night and if the scores are level after 90 minutes then the tie will be decided on penalties.

The winners of this game have been drawn at home against First Division North side Glossop North End in the second round scheduled for week commencing Monday 9 January.
