Ant Danylyk has asked the club to publish the following statement.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks and farewell to all involved at Leek Town Football club.

Having had the pleasure of playing and captaining the club, it will always hold a special place in my heart. It has been a true privilege to manage the team, and am grateful for the opportunity to do so. It has been a huge learning curve, with plenty of ups and downs, but I’ll continue to wear my heart on my sleeve, in whichever future opportunity arises.

There are too many people to thank individually, however I would like to say a special thank you to Paul Donnelly (Donners) for all his help, knowledge and support this season, as I wouldn’t have been able to, or wanted to do it without him! It’s also been a pleasure to work with Simon Bell, who has been a great addition- an excellent coach.

Additionally, I would like to thank the lads for making the job worthwhile- A great dressing room and a pleasure to manage. I will even miss the not so good banter!

The players, supporters and volunteers have been a big part of my footballing life and I will take away many fond memories of all those involved. I have been lucky enough to have made many friendships along the way, which go beyond football.

It is with regret that the journey has ended so soon, however I wish everyone at the club every success for the future #LTFC
