The club are delighted to announce the signing of former captain Sam Hall.

The 28-year old midfielder left Premier Division side Nantwich Town earlier in the week and manager Neil Baker moved swiftly to secure the players signature.

Hall had also captained the Dabbers, making 128 appearances for the Cheshire side since making the move from Harrison Park prior to the start of the 2015/16 season. He was an ever present for Nantwich last season.

Hall originally joined the Blues from Kidsgrove Athletic in July 2012 and immediately impressed with his performances in the centre of midfield. He was named Managers Player of the Season in 2012/13 and then captained Leek to the play-offs in both the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons.

In total he made 153 appearances for the Blues scoring 8 goals before leaving for Nantwich after defeat in the 2014/15 play-off final against Sutton Coldfield Town.

Chairman Jon Eeles commented “We are delighted that Sam Hall has returned to the Club after deciding to leave Nantwich. We have had to work hard to secure his signature and I would like to thank publicly all the people in the Club who have helped to make this happen.

Sam has been an integral part of the recent successful Nantwich teams and his quality will improve us, in addition he is widely respected amongst his peers and is a very popular player amongst supporters. Welcome back to Leek Sam”
