Corporate guests & Vice Presidents at Leek Town FC are now dining in style thanks to a generous donation of tableware from Stoke based hospitality ware world-leader Steelite International.

The club is hosting more high-profile games including FIFA youth internationals and there was a need to update the previous tableware due to breakages. In addition to this the match sponsorship programme is fully subscribed and the Vice President number this season has grown to 12.

The donation came about due to a long-time association between club Chairman, Jon Eeles and Steelite International finance director, Jon Cameron.

Leek Town Chairman Jon Eeles explained: “I’ve known Jon for a long time and we recently attended the same Bank of England event hosted by Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce.

“During our conversation, I mentioned that we were now hosting international matches and that we needed to upgrade our tableware to cope with increased covers of up to 45. Jon immediately offered to help out with a generous donation of 50 settings of tableware which got its first outing at the September FIFA game between England under 18s and South Africa under 18s.”

Jon Cameron added:” Steelite is proud of its local heritage and we are always pleased to help out local organisations which play an active role in the community.
“Leek Town fits the bill as a true community club so we were happy to make the donation.”
