The popular figure has wasted no time and quickly assembled his back room staff, the Club welcomes back Jamie Cullerton as Assistant Manager and retains the expertise of Simon Bell as First Team Coach. This will be “Bakes” third spell at the Club and will be a popular choice with the supporters.

Jon Eeles, Club Chairman said “This is a massive appointment for the Club and I hope the fan base will agree that it has been worth the wait over the last week, all the relevant parties have now been consulted including all the senior and long serving players.

The appointment demonstrates our intent and will generate a massive buzz around the Club. Further announcements will be made in due course but is now time for us all to focus on next season and give full support to the new management team.”

Leek Town return to Evo-Stik League action on Saturday 12 August, and are in the process of assembling a competitive list of friendlies - these will be released at the end of the week.
