PITCH PROGRESSING WELL

The playing surface was ripped up and replaced at the end of last season but with four weeks to the big kick-off, the grass is growing well.

Contingency plans have been put in place to play the opening fixtures elsewhere if the pitch is not ready in time, but following a meeting with the contractors this week, Chairman Andy Wain is cautiously optimistic that everything is on course for the match on August 15th.
