Blues started brightly but the first half quickly became a stalemate although Dynamo's Luke Foster did see a header bounce off the crossbar in the 25th minute.

Leek's only effort on target came from Aaron Bott in the 36th minute but it was comfortably saved.

Immediately after the break Billy Reeves went close as his cross-shot was palmed away by Charlie Taylor in the Dynamo goal.

On 64 minutes Bott got through on goal but Taylor saved with an outstretched leg. Fourteen minutes later Rob Stevenson crossed the ball invitingly but Bott and sub Niall Maguire both went for the ball seemingly getting in each other's way.

It was evident that Loughborough were more than happy with a draw as they created nothing of note in the second half.

The drama was contained mainly for the last few minutes. On 87 minutes, Bott (pictured) went down under a challenge in the box but nothing was given.

In the first minute of added time Reeves broke into the box and Taylor did just enough to keep the ball out with the help of a defender who hacked the ball off the line.

In the final moments a scramble in the box saw Sam Hall return the ball goalwards and the ball strike a Dynamo defender. The Leek players had a massive shout for a penalty for handball but the referee ignored the claims and instead blew the final whistle.

The Preliminary Round tie will now go to a replay at Loughborough Dynamo on Tuesday evening, kick-off 7.45pm.
