THAW LIFTS HOPES FOR QUORN GAME

THAW LIFTS HOPES FOR QUORN GAME image

Blues match at Quorn is in the balance after a sudden thaw in Leicestershire cleared the pitch of three inches of lying snow on Friday.

There is now a pitch inspection planned for 10.30 on Saturday morning and the game does now have a chance of going ahead depending if lying water from the thawed snow clears in time.

Quorn, who are 12th in the First Division South table, are nine points and six places clear of Blues and former midfielders Chris White and Sam Wood are likely to play against them.

In their last league game before the big freeze set in, Quorn were held to a 3-3 draw at home to high flying Goole.
