Chairman Jon Eeles commented “It is important to protect the pitch and playing surface at Harrison Park, and it was felt the Under 21's should play at a suitable alternative ground. Ball Haye Green FC and their Chairman Ant Knight were more than happy to accommodate and maintain the long association with Leek Town FC.”

Eeles added “Ball Haye Green have been terrific, and the Board and officials would like to go on record and thank them - recently they have experienced some difficulties and Leek Town is pleased to support them in whatever capacity they can”.

Leek Town FC U21 will play on Saturdays at 10:30, so there is an opportunity for Blues fans to watch two Leek Town games on a Saturday."
