Neil Baker has boosted his squad as he looks to push on for a promotion play-off place in the remaining months of the season.

The Blues boss has brought back midfield player Nathan Whitehead to the club after he had a spell at Harrison Park at the start of the 2015/16 season.

Whitehead joins from Matlock Town whom he joined from Spalding United where he was a member of squad that made the promotion play-offs last season along with fellow recent signing Jordan Lemon.

He made 13 appearances, scoring one goal for the club back in 2015 having been signed for the Blues by Lee Casswell from Rainworth MW. Whitehead then moved on to Lincoln United where he also figured in their side that made the play-offs.

The Chesterfield-based player has also played for Brigg Town, Glapwell, Staveley MW, Heanor Town and AFC Mansfield.
