Leek Town crashed out of the Doodson Sport Cup at the First Round stage when they lost 4-0 at Witton Albion.

Director of Football Neil Baker made a number of changes to his side, leaving Chris Millar, Ricky Bridge, Matt Haddrell and Jimmy McCarthy on the bench ahead of Saturday's big FA Cup tie at Deeping Rangers.

Leek were a goal down inside a minute when Liam Newman put the home side ahead and the lead was doubled on 37 miutes when Ben Harrison headed home.

Blues created nothing of note in the first half but improved a little after Millar and Haddrell came on after an hour.

Millar played a lovely ball through to Devon Gibson but a great last ditch tackle denied him a clear strike on goal.

A coople of long range efforts sailed high or wide but in truth, former Leek keeper Matt Cooper did not have to make a save in Albion's goal.

Blues misery was completed when they conceded two close range goals in the final five minutes to give the score line a rather flattering look in Witton's favour.
