What a great 2011-12 season for the Leicester Forest U10’s team last year (This years U11's)! It was a very enjoyable year developing our rugby skills but at the same time having lots of fun. Here are some of our key highlights of the 2011-12 season as u10’s; * 2nd place in the Syston, Loughborough and Nuneaton tournaments. We did not concede a try in the Syston tournament, losing only on try difference. * Semi finalists of the Leicestershire County Cup. * Played on the Welford Rd pitch in the PRIMA bowl quarter finals before a Leicester Tigers European cup game against Aironi. * Participated at the Leicester Tigers challenge festival at Skegness. * The team did the first day of the Walk4Matt, walking 15 miles, raising around £2000 for the Matt Hampson Foundation for which we proudly have the logo on our playing tops. On the day we also had a team photo with the premiership trophy. * The team was invited to sell badges and wristbands for the Matt Hampson Foundation at the Premiership semi final game at Welford Rd against Saracens, watching a great win for Tigers. * Our Christmas party was at the Timo Restaurant where Leicester Tigers Prop Martín Castrogiovanni came along and met all the children, signing autographs. (See Picture) All players became members of the England supports club for their Christmas present. * A number of social events like ten pin bowling, England vs Wales pre world cup friendly at Twickenham. * Ball boys and girls for Leicester Tigers vs Matt Hampson Foundation xi at Grace Rd We are all looking forward to another fantastic session. We are always looking out for new team members. So if you are interesting in developing your rugby skills while following the core values of rugby, having fun and making new friends, why not come and join our team.
