Leicester Hospitals Mixed Hockey Club

Congratulations to the Hospitals A Team and to Kapt Kez and Capt of Vice Dave on winning the Leicestershire and Rutland Mixed Hockey League Div 1 Title.

This is the first time the club has ever won the top flight league and they have done so with 3 games to spare, with the best defence in the division and the support of the whole club, especially the B and C team captains.

They started the season by lifting a cup in the LHRA Presidents cup season opener in which they laid down a marker for the coming season by beating last year’s league winners and other former league champions.

They had been confirmed as league champions before push-back of the game against Market Harborough A on Saturday the 2nd of April, their nearest threat having been beaten earlier in the day. So with the league in the bag they have two more league games to add to an impressive seasons stats and build up ready for the seasons curtain closer, the LRHA Senior Cup final, this to be played on the 16th of April against former league and cup winners Market Harborough A.

Winning the Presidents Cup would see a magnificent treble for the Club and would cap a fine season for all involved, so now for the senior cup on April 16th for the treble!! Come on Hozzies!!
