With last weekend almost a total wipe out, I'm hoping you can all complete the outstanding fixtures as soon as possible, to ensure any further lost weekends don't have an impact into the second half of the season.

Some feedback on the 1st Review of red/yellow cards presented to the League Committee on the 7th. The trend is not in the right direction with more than double the number of red cards than this time last year. As result, a number of clubs have been issued with warnings and one with points deduction. There seems to be a developing trend of complaints against bench players and supporters. Could I ask you to remind all captains it is their responsibility to ensure the correct behaviour of all involved in playing and watching their games.

I'd also like to remind you to distribute the 'Guide for Club Umpires' to all your potential umpires and captains, we are still having to issue fines due to incomplete team sheets.

As I'd previously informed you, the Committee has been working on 'Progressing towards an Open League'. This work is now complete and in the next couple of days I will be distributing a presentation on our recommendations and asking you for vote on implementation.
