A great afternoon was had when a group of young and old players played NLW in a casual fixture. The game was to attract people back into the game.... some hadn't played in decades.... but also to give people their first ever experience of rugby.

The rugby was great fun, and 18 leigh players got to play in front of their family and friends and a rather large crowd who had come to enjoy a day of rugby at Newton Sports club.
Just as good as the rugby was our time in the club afterwards.
A big thank you to our new friends at NLW and the sore bodies and heads we woke up to on Sunday morning!!
