This seasons see's a number of League and organisations joining together to back and support the event.
POSITIVE VOICE Fortnight starts on 8th October. We all hope the event has a long lasting impact to make football more enjoyable for all.
Below are answers to some of the questions you may have.
We would encourage that this be as much a fun and social occasion as possible.
Only positive comments should be heard from Players, coaches and spectators. Clapping would also be seen as being Positive and would be encouraged.
What if we play a team that is not taking part in Positive Voice?
Some teams may have declined to sign up for Positive Voice. However, there is nothing to prevent you circulating leaflets among parents and coaches and inviting support.
How will you know what people thought of the experience?
We will issue survey forms for children, referees, coaches, and parents to complete. We will collate the feedback which should provide vital information for future initiatives.
Is this for a fortnight only
Initially it is for a fortnight as a campaign but we hope the impact is long lasting. Dependent on the feedback it is likely that more weekends can be arranged during the season.
What if we don’t have a game scheduled?
Explore the potential for arranging a friendly or perhaps host the Positive Voice on a future date with the agreement of your opponents.
Is this a national event?
This is a Sheffield & Distrct Junior League initiative based on the One Voice Weekend which was held by the League in 2014 and the Positive Voice week held in 2015. This season we have rollled it out, with many other leagues and groups across the country getting involved, making this an national event.
